About


Meet Edel

Edel’s mission is not only to nourish the body, but the mind and spirit. 

As a Mom of three, Edel knows all too well the stresses and frustrations of daily life. Having spent 10 years as an investment banker on Wall Street, she is familiar with the complexities and expectations that come with this lifestyle. Edel integrates these learnings in her teaching and provides a safe place for people to let go and just BE. 

Edel has passion for the challenges she faces on and off the mat, and the wisdom to utilize that experience in her teaching. In her personal practice, Edel finds that yoga helps her to build awareness about her body, habits and tendencies, and how sensation and emotion provoke her to reaction. 

Edel’s love for yoga led her to embark on a 200-hour Pranotthan Teacher training, a yoga steeped in the Kripalu lineage that explores the many layers of the self. Most recently, she completed a 200-hour teacher training in Kundalini yoga, a yoga focused on awareness and living from higher consciousness. She is also a certified holistic health coach receiving her certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2007. These credentials bring a well-rounded approach to her classes. 

Edel’s private yoga program builds strength, flexibility and balance through stability, as well as provides a space to discover the truth in transition and a sense of lightness that many seek in their practice. She emphasizes the importance of creating space within the body and ultimately the mind in between the diverse range of thoughts her students bring to class. Edel believes that a large part of yoga is going behind the illusions we create and examining our internal conversations to simply find gratitude and love for ourselves and others. She designs classes with purpose and offers a gift to students of every level. 

With a mind full of curiosity for the non-tangible realms in life, Edel is continuously studying, learning, exploring and sharing her findings in her teaching and with those she encounters in the world around her.

Hatha Yoga (Beginner and Level 1)

Students explore basic yoga postures and breathing techniques in a stress-free, non-competitive, and supportive environment.  Classes flow at a relaxed pace. Movements are slow but deliberate, and stretching is emphasized.  Gentle Yoga is an invitation to relax, breathe, feel, and let go. It embraces the consciousness of moment-to-moment awareness and calms the mind. This practice supports the immune system, offers comfort to muscles, joints, and bones, and enhances overall feelings of health and wellbeing. Each student is accommodated where they are.  Stability and balance are facilitated through the use of support props and individual student attention. No prior experience is necessary.

Open Level Flow 

A flow class designed to accommodate students of all levels. Various options are given allowing the practitioner to move at their own pace and comfort level. It will help to tone your body while enhancing balance, core strength and flexibility. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, Open Level Flow is a great class to add to your practice.

Kundalini Yoga

Using asanas (postures), mudras, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation, the practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. It works quickly to give you balance and the ability to remain calm, centered and clear through life's challenges.  The best part is you don't need any previous experience in yoga in order to achieve results with your very first class.  This yoga is for everyday life, and every person.  Suitable for all levels.

With her background in Investment Banking, Edel is all too familiar with the stresses of this lifestyle.  Her private corporate yoga and meditation program provide clients with tools to manage stress and revitalize the body.  She does this through teaching breathing techniques to calm the mind, relaxing and strengthening postures to revitalize the body and uses a variety of meditation tools to find stillness amidst the fast paced environment we live in.
